9/1/2020 - post-RNC thoughts, fear mongering and bilious hate

Friends, If it wasn't clear to you before, it certainly must be now: it's game-on. After four days of bilious hate, fear mongering and lies coming out of the RNC, Dear Leader continues to double down on racial strife, polarization and vilification of those protesting peacefully and labeling anyone doing so as "marxists", "leftist radicals" and worse. It was great to see Joe come out swinging yesterday with a powerful and pointed speech, calling out Trump's lies, gaslighting and deceit. That being said, the Republicans are running a very effective psyops campaign in their parallel universe that runs the risk of instilling enough fear to get swing voters to tip the wrong way. WE CANNOT LET THIS HAPPEN. As I've said to some of my contacts within the Biden campaign, I think Joe needs to go full-on aggressive, both rebutting Trump's lies while actually talking about the few things most prominent on people's minds: jobs; healthcare; and the fact that they matter. We can't let this turn into a game of identity politics - it has to be about issues and helping people in their day to day lives. It can't be empty promises and proclamations. And Biden has lots of good stuff to talk about here.
